Being the drummer/vocalist for “Dizzy Lizyrd” has brought me full circle in my life, all the hard work, challenges, ups and downs, and the fun of all the garage bands that I was in over the years are paying off with Dizzy Lizyrd! We now have a REALLY GOOD, working, FUN BAND! My role as the drummer allows me to wear many different hats, the talent these guys have is tremendous, and I get to provide the heartbeat and some vocals that makes the lizyrd “lick”. I play a classic ‘Ludwig” White Octaplus 14 piece drum kit, (which thanks to my wife) are my dream come true. Gotta think BIG guys! Speaking of my wife, I AM the luckiest guy in the world, because of the inspiration that makes ME “lick” - Dana! Most of you guys and girls that have met her would hopefully agree, I think the good lord created her on a Saturday, and took Sunday off just to admire his work! And we have been married 20 years, producing two equally beautiful daughters that as a dad, continue to scare the hell out of me! Inspiration? She is the band's manager - ask for her by name but, be careful! She can capture her prey, quick! Influences? I’m a progressive rock fan, I’ve seen KANSAS 32 times, mostly with our friend, Dennis Fellenbaum, (who passed away) God Love you Dude! We miss you! we’ll keep up the tradition, We promise! Genesis, ELP, Pink Floyd, 38 Special, by the way go see 38’s drummer, I think he’s the best in the world! My dream to meet him someday. |

Rob has been playing the guitar for nearly 40 years. He was
raised in Oklahoma and moved to the Lancaster area 17 years ago. Brought up
on country music, Rob rebelled and learned his chops by listening to Led
Zeppelin, Cream, and Hendrix. Rob's early influences were Jimmy Page, Eric
Clapton, and Jeff Beck. Later influences include Blue Oyster Cult, Captain
Beyond, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, REO Speedwagon, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd,
and Bad Company. This musical mix contributed to Rob's unique guitar
style...Southern but hard edged. Rob
recently married Lizyrdette, Deb. Hi Deb! Thanks for all of your support!
Rob has 2 sons, both musicians and founding members of the speed metal band,
Treachery. Rob's boys love to sit in with The Lizyrd when home visiting. |

Other then being the bassist, back and
lead vocalist, he is also the lightman, soundman, recording engineer, (not
-demo recording dude??? Yeah!!!) Along with Rob, he is the creative team
that has given this band the power and unique sound that people have been
returning time and time again and expecting to hear from the Dizzy Lizyrd
band. JImmy was raised from a very musical family consisting mostly of country western and gospel, as a child. Then he spent his last 25 years dialing in his guitar and bass playing on southern rock, Texas blues, Motown and anything that he feels has a good groove and/or good lyrics. Although his reputation is based on bass guitar, his bass playing style is influenced by just as many guitar players as bass players like; Paul McCartney, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Berry Oakley (Allman Bros), B.B King, and Leon Wilson (Lynyrd Skynyrd), just to name a few. No doubt his biggest influence in the last three years has to be that good old Oklahoma boy, Rob Woolley! Jimmy says, "Lets face it, I couldn't do what I do, if Rob wouldn't do what he does!" HIs biggest pride and joy is his family. His son Matthew James (the Lil Lizyrd, age 3) and Tammy (His 'Lizyrdette'). As Jimmy says, "The patience and tolerance that these two have shown me and Dizzy Lizyrd, just completely amazes me, and the fact that they never ask for any special recognition or treatment just reminds me how blessed I am as a man and as a musician. To me, that Rocks!!!" |

C.T. was welcomed by
Dizzy Lizyrd in November 2006 to the all-new position of keyboard player /
vocalist. Influenced by the likes of: The Alan Parsons Project, The
Talking Heads, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Thomas Dolby, Kansas, Styx, Duran
Duran, The Police, Hall and Oates, Brian Eno, The B-52's, Howard Jones, Spock's Beard,
and the Cars; C.T. listens to or is familiar with many different forms of
music. He regards Supertramp (and in particular - Roger Hodgson and Rick
Davies), as his single biggest influences.
His set up currently consists of a classic Ensoniq ESQ-1 keyboard, midi'd to an Apple Mac Mini. The Mini acts as a software synth and actually makes the sounds. It's the fusion of high-tech and simplicity (and that doesn't often happen!) Married to the web mistress (Hi Melzie!), and a father of Benji (9), C.T. has been in the Lancaster area for over 20 years. If you've been to any karaoke shows in the area, you've probably seen him and Melz once or twice... Or more. :) He has been a part of or played in a few local bands and is also a songwriter. By day, he works as a Network Engineer and Technology Director at Linden Hall School for Girls, and at night he thinks of new ways to bring an even fuller, richer sound to The Lizyrd when he isn't actually playing a gig! C.T. hopes to bring humor, enthusiasm and positive energy to the Lizyrd. In addition, he loves to write bios about himself in the 3rd person, as this seems to make him feel that much more important! |
